Just would like some input from other Gray owners, I have had these 2 Grays for 17 years, they are like my kids, the male loves eating and playing with cold Wet Roman lettuce leaves, he loves shredding them to bits and when he is finished one, he asks for more, so we rinse the lettuce leave in cold water and he grabs it and goes nuts playing with it. When he is playing with it he will hold the cold lettuce leave under his beak against the skin of his throat. He seems to like it, if we give him cold fruit he eats it but likes to hold it there also, my female does not do this. He has absolutely no other issues, nor does my female. They are the most amazing animals. I was wondering if any other owner has ever seen anything like this, its not a problem, I am curious, maybe there is a natural thing for grays to do this? or if anyone has had similar experiences, I have done lots of research and have not come up with anything. Maybe its just his go to response to the cold water or cold fruit, veggie etc. Maybe he just likes the feeling of the cold on his throat skin, any idea's or thoughts are welcome.
Thanks everyone
