OMG!!!

So tonight when I get home the new little CAG (we still don't know his name) flies to my shoulder, does his happy bird dance, and then sticks his head under my chin for a head scratch. No sooner do we finish that, than he starts regurging for me!

Now, this bird has been in this house since Suncay night, and he wasn't even really all there until Monday or Tuesday...

Can you imagine?!

Don't worry little bird. No one is stuffing you into a cardboard box...

Thank god he was found by someone who knows about birds and knows how important it is to (hopefully) get him back to his real family! His very own gross little way of saying "thanks":)

I'm trying NOT to bond with him. I don't want to keep him. I don't want to give him a name. I don't want him getting too attached to me....

But he's very much a people bird, and he is VERY clingy since his "near death" experience....

I don't want to, but I am. I don't want him to, but he is. I even picked out a name, but haven't ever used it...

He's getting a wing clipping and a microchip exam on Saturday. My ads are still up. No one is calling except scammers...

I want him to go to HIS home. But I'm keeping him if that doesn't happen...

I won't give him away. I'll give him a good life.

I haven't stopped trying to find his owner. BUT everyone else can go screw themselves...

I'm already sick of the other kind. We are now at good 5 scammers 4.

It's sounding like your flock just grew by one. If you end up keeping him atleast he found himself a good home.

Uh o, sounds like this little guy is making himself more and more at home... I know you'll do the right thing if the owners are identified and return him (of course), but I can't even imagine how hard it is not to bond with him and totally fall in love with a bird who isn't taking no for an answer.

Keep your fingers crossed. I got a call from a guy who lives in the right area. Obviously legit parrot owner. Described some of the mannerisms correctly, did not get all of them. So far, this is the closest I've come to correct answers to my quiz.

THERE IS ONE THING IN PARTICULAR THAT ONLY AN OWNER WOULD KNOW, AND HE GOT IT RIGHT! SO I AM PRETTY OPTIMISTIC THIS TIME...

We may have finally found THE RIGHT owner...

He's coming by tomorrow to look. He said flat out, his bird will know him. We will know immediately if it is his or not... He's not looking for a free bird, he's looking for HIS bird...

I'LL BE SAD TO SEE THE LITTLE GUY GO IF IT'S HIS, BUT IT WILL BE NICE TO HAVE LIFE GET BACK TO NORMAL.

Oh, I hope it's his real daddy this time, and not a scammer, the answers to questions seems encouraging.

What did he tell you about how his bird got out/away?

He was flighted, outside on a shoulder, and got spooked... didn't think he'd fly off. (Stop me if you've heard - ahem - said this one before...)

He was able to describe this bird's rather unique poofy bird display, and the unique thing he does when stepping up to a T...

And he lives in the same area where we found this one. His bird was NOT banded. And he is obviously not a scammer...

He was very knowlegable about CAG behaviors, and whoever trained this guy obviously is!!!

SO, I AM EXCITED THIS TIME!

I'm so excited about this. The fact that he answered questions correctly that only an owner would know about... Can't wait to hear about it tomorrow!

Well I hope this little guy is going home! I bet he (the birds) and his daddy (if this is the right guy) will be thrilled to be reunited.

Hey, I know! I just went through it...

I really do suspect this is the right guy. This guy was trained to do something every time he steps up. The only person who would know that is the guy who trained him to do it! This guy knew what that something was! IT HAS TO BE HIS BIRD! I'M BETTING ON IT...

I bet he won't turn up with a cardboard box to take him home in either! You'll have to tell us what this birds name is:)

NO HE WON'T...

This bird is a pampered parrot. He's used to being handled. He's still disoriented in my place. He's gonna light up like a christmas tree the way Tusk did when he saw me, when the right person walks through the door. And honestly, that's what I want to see happen. He has a home, and it isn't mine. This bird was well trained, and well loved. And I am sure he is missed...

You can see it on their faces... THAT'S MY PERSON COME TO FIND ME!
