I bought Charlie a sleeping tent about a month ago, and until now he has not shown any interest in it. So this morning I open the cages (I have an open plan kitchen/lounge, and start preparing birdie breakfast with Milo on my shoulder, ziggie( the guest birdie) on a little playgym on the kitchen counter, and Charlie on his cage. About 5 minutes in I realize Charlie has suddenly gone very quiet....mmmm....look up, no sign of him in, on or under his cage! Start looking around, on the sofa, no, floor, no, how do you loose such a big bird??? Then my eye catches a glimpse of red, Charlie in his tent! Phew! Pic attached, lol!

But it seems my lessons for the day was not done. I am still on leave over the summer holiday (Monday back to the grindstone), so this afternoon I am just chilling on the sofa, bird cages open, everyone doing his own thing, playing with their toys, preening, catching a snooze... as the program i was watching was quite interesting, I wasn't paying much attention. How much chaos can a bird cause 5 feet away from you? I also attached that pic! Lol!

The others are just some photos I took over the weekend that I think came out very nicely. And one of Milo and Ziggie chomping down their nuts this morning.

Your birds are beautiful. How do they all get along with each other? I have one Congo Grey, don't know if she would play well with others! Ha ha

Only one of the mustache parakeets are mine (the one with the red beak), the other was just visiting while her mommy was on holiday. With Milo and Charlie I rather don't take any chances. Even though Milo is older, Charlie is a lot bigger, and even though Milo thinks he can take Charlie on, (Milo is convinced I am only his toy/slave lol) I know that it only takes one bite from Charlie to inflict serious damage. So the closest I let them come to each other is Charlie on my lap and Milo on my shoulder, Lol. Never within beak distance. As they say, rather safe than sorry, right?
