I'm so sorry. I sometimes forget, not everyone prepares more parrot food than people food. Here you go, these great recipes will give you an idea. These two are from Laura/labell and Wendy/JerseyWendy.

All my rescues: Pepita, Rocky and Eva, my Quaker Parrots Clover and Sweet Pea, YNA Willie Buttons, and TAG Coca.
Just boil the quinoa in water until it "pops" and let it cool down. My 2 QP's love it in their veggie mash. BTW it's awesomely good in home-made vegetable soup :)

Yes, quinoa is quick and easy to sprout.

Here's a couple of easy quinoa recipes:

• 1 cup of quinoa
• 2 cups water
• 2 large carrots
• 2 stalks of celery or fresh broccoli or any other vegetable

Bring water and quinoa to a boil, turn down heat and let it slowly cook until all the water is gone (about 10 minutes).

Put carrots and other vegetables in food processor and purée. After it's puréed can add a half teaspoon of cinnamon or herbs of your choice for flavor. I usually add a few apple cubes or blueberries.

Add vegetables to quinoa, stir until mixed and serve.

Quinoa and vegetables

•1 cup quinoa
• 1 TBL coconut oil
• 1/2 cup chopped kale
• 1/2 cup carrot diced
• 1/2 cup bell peppers diced
• 1/2 cup slivered almonds or finely chopped walnuts
• 1/2 teaspoon oregano

Bring 1 cup quinoa in two cups of water to a boil. Reduce to simmer, cover and cook for about 15 minutes.

Meanwhile, sauté carrots, celery and peppers in coconut oil for a few minutes until clear but crisp. Stir in oregano and almonds. You can change the recipe with different vegetables, use your bird's favorites.

As long as they're the ones eating it, so I don't have to...

Eating healthy?! YUCK! :D
