I rescue, foster, and rehabilitate as many parrots as I can take in.
I foster many birds. Many of them come with unknown histories and unknown tendencies. Mostly, I am able to work through these problems. I have a CAG right now that is very territorial and aggressive. She will not hesitate to hurt someone's finger.

She (estimated "she" -- no DNA determination) is 20+ years old. I have had her for three months.

I know what to do already. It is the same routine I have used on vicious Amazon and the Amazon is now a very sweet "pirate pet" (she sits on shoulder and mutters "Arrrr matey"). But I am curious about new techniques. Positive reinforcement in the form of treats makes training very quick and rewarding, but she will not take treats.

She has been vetted and is offered many things to eat in hopes of finding something she likes but no luck so far.

I am just curious for more techniques. I have been rehabilitating birds for many years but this my first time on message board. I read books and surf the internet for training information. I am curious to ask and see if there is new ideas out there.
