bedtime?

I work full-time and my son goes to school. While she is alone, Cricket is in her cage. I have two cats that roam around and I'm just not willing to take any chances.

As soon as my son is home from school he lets her out. Then I come home and say hello but she stays in my room until after supper (no birdies around hot stoves!). Then around 6 p.m. I bring her down to the main floor for lovin's and playtime.

I see that many people put their fids to bed around 7 or 7:30. Cricket will get tired it seems around 9...is this too late? She's content to just snuggle with me, although she will get nippy (never bites hard at ALL) if you try and get her to do things when she wants to be snuggly.

My question is, is it okay to "keep her up" late since she's alone all day through the week?

Bedtime at my house is 10:00 p.m.

With a rise and shine at 6:00 a.m.

They nap during the day when I'm gone.

Ok now I feel better. Since I got the fids I try to stop watching tv at ten but sometimes I watch till 11. The house wakes up at 6 30 or so but I don't uncover them or make a lot of noise in my room till after 8. Even later on weekends when I tend to stay up a bit later.

If they look extra tired in the afternoon we will take a nap. They also get quiet time from 3 to 4.

Bedtime here is between 9 and 10pm with breakfast served between 7:30 to 8:30 am just depends what is going on. Mine all seem to nap around 2 to 3 in the afternoon.

Yup, I join in with the "late" bedtimes. Usually around 10 o'clock we go to bed, and then we get up around 8 o'clock. On weekends if I sleep longer than that, Sammy will wake me up about 8:30, even with his cage covered (his sleeping cage is in my bedroom), so I would assume he feels plenty rested with that schedule. If I want to sleep later than 8:30 I have to move him into his main cage in the living room and then go back to sleep.

30 year old TAG in my house (roomie's bird) starts asking for night night around 630-700. He gets covered, but is in a common area and scolds the rest of the household if they maintain awakeness. Roomie and Hubby both work 3rd shift so most nights he scolds me!

His owner will take him out in the a.m. when he gets home before going to bed then cover him up.

He doesn't stir and want to be uncovered till around 10 a.m. He's lived with a 3rd shifter most of his life so his clock is kinda messed up I think.

Well shoot, you all beat us to bed! We go to bed around midnight, up by 7:00 AM. My babies nap through the day, Venus particularly puts herself to bed by 7:00 PM and you better not disturb her! Disturb her and you get beaked! She even naps on my shoulder, love her!
