Hello folks,

So i have been hand raising parrots for a long time....i have raised greennecks, alex, cocktails, budgies and now it is my 2nd grey chic i am working on.The previous one was 2 months old when i got him and this one is 40 days old.

So here is the deal, the breeder was feeding this baby 60cc Formula 3 times a day 9 am 3-4 pm 10 pm and the baby's crop looks stretched. I have reduced the feed to 45 cc 3 times a day with 10cc in between. I know about sour crops (never experienced with any of my birds) This baby's crop looks little bulged even after 11 hours from the last night's feed. It does empty but i think there is very little feed always left in the crop at the time of next feed. i have seen baby greys whose crop is fully flush with the body when they are hungry but my babys crop is never "fully flush" it is always like little bulgy.....not a lot but a little. I took it to breeder he said its fine and just to be cautious he advised a few drops of apple cider in baby's nighttime feed. Which i have done once. The baby is otherwise healthy...it asks for food flaps its wings etc..there is no lump or any solidified food in its crop. I got him a "crop bra" for 2 days just to be safe..... Should i be worried or will it resolve overtime?
