We have one up,but the wife likes the real tree smell so she got this. The tree is about 6 foot away from the cage

I personally wouldn't risk it. It doesn't seem to be an aerosol type, which would definitely be a danger to your bird. But given parrots' rather delicate respiratory systems, I'd err on the side of caution.

yeah it's not a spray just a stick that lays on a branch of the tree...it's pretty strong when you 1st open the container.sorry for the upside down pic

I'll bet the stick outgasses all sorts of chemicals - some potentially harmful.

I bet if you go to the christmas tree place you can grab a few of the ends the cut off. Those smell nice I always bring mine home.
