Nigel has his isms:

1. He must first sit next to me in the morning and chatter for about 30 mins before anything else happens in his world.

2. He must have his metal hanging spoons to kill every day.

3. When going to the shower, he always poops in the hallway even if he just went.

4. He can't have large chunks of apple, they must be chopped.

5. My favorite...when he's preening, he talks to himself as if annoyed.

Does your bird have any isms?

Oh yeah.

When bed time draws near she goes from the perch above the door and walks out to the edge of the open cage door and bows her head and clicks, as to say "come here, I need to have my neck rubbed". Then she climbs on my shoulder and we sit down and communicate for about 10 minutes. Then I put her to bed, with little fuss.

Immediately after baths she lets out her sharp high pitched whistle, it's her "thank you" whistle, then she climbs to her secondary swing perch and chatters away for about 5-10 minutes.

Thats so awesome I can't wait to have some ism stories for you guys. My TAG Timneh is around 1 and 1/2 and seems to be learning a lot of things for the first time in a way. Seems like she had never stood on a shoulder, didn't know how to hold onto my finger very well even. She does whistle in the morning as soon as she hears me get uo and says come and get me. Also she has to go to the bathroom. She doesn't like going to the bathroom in her house, when I get up and get home from work she runs out to the end of the perch and drops one onto her papers. So I guess I do have a couple!!!

None. My wife has one too many. Kidding!
Well, I'm the third wheel around here, avian-wise, but I'm sure the Missus will be along soon to itemize the Bird's ism's. :29:

So Nigel has learned how to sneeze like my husband (very loud) at the funniest moment. When he is preening himself he inevitably sneezes and then looks up until I tell him bless you. Then he carries on. How could I be so rude and forget to bless him?

Nigel continues to wage control here at home. We had a friend over and Nigel calls his name and he goes to my husband asking what he needed. Nope not my husband, it was Nigel. I think he has taken lessons from the RickeyBird.
