Because I took Pacho out today and had the small transport cage handy. And because it was (past tense for sure) such a nice sunny day I took Bella for a very short trip.
We only went around the block (in the car). I want to get her at ease for longer trips. Want her to know that a car ride does not mean bad things are going to happen.

Her flying ability is getting better. She can maintain altitude for short distances. She is still learning how to turn and land.

Added "your so cute" and "whatcha going to do"
Working on a list of words and sounds she makes. will upload eventually.

Gracie loves car rides we got a little bigger travel cage and took back and forth from NJ to NC. She was quieter than the kids when they were small and did that trip!

Amy a Blue Front 'Zon
Jonesy a Goffins 'Too who had to be rehomed :-(

And a Normal Grey Cockatiel named BB who came home with me on 5/20/2016.
Great news there,Wes! :04: Sounds to me she likes where she's at now :p
How's her 'clothes' coming?? ( feathers? lol) Your last pics of her were simply remarkable.

Smokey was never really a "car birdie",not like Amy is..I'd put her in one of those pet carriers when she went to her doctors, and sure she'd make noises..alot of "woo'ing" went on. ( Her "woo's" were in different tones, that showed me how she was feeling)

She never went to stores with me,or trips..(like Amy did when we went to visit Al and Salty)

I'd suggest short trips..around town,etc,15 minute trips, and just observe how Bella reacts..I just love taking Amy,she gets into it big time, watching out the window, all fluffed up,eyes pinned, yelling all sorts of 'zon gibberish..clearly enjoying herself lol.

No real change in her feathers so no new pictures to post. My best guess is that the next molt will finish filling out her new suit.
I agree that my Bella will never be comfortable riding my shoulder in a store. Now that she is nearly able to fly she would take off at the drop of a hat.
I can try to put her in a harness of some kind but don't think she would like it.
