This story from a magazine had me in tears of laughter.

I have read a few about AG's that have had me in mirth, including a woman who found out her husband was cheating when her bird kept repeating his Mistress' name!!!!

This one even topped THAT though!

A retired couple from the bottom coast of England in Devon, often go on day trips to France as they live 15mins away from the ferry.

As usual, they arranged for their daughter to come and check the dog and parrot were ok, feed them in the afternoon....walkies etc.

On the way home on the ferry in the evening, their mobile phone rang and it was the police saying there was a disturbance and siege going on involving their home.

Racing home in the car from the ferry, their street was blocked off. Neighbours reported shrieking and the police had already been alerted by the burgler alarm.

The police explained that they'd knocked on the door and a man asked: Who is it? They said: Police, open up! The man said: GO AWAY!

So they blocked off the street and were waiting it out.

It transpires, the dog knocked the burgler alarm which frightened him and he started shrieking! The african grey was simply answering the police the best way he knew how HAHAHAHAHAHA!

So lesson learnt for many of us! You can't even go on a day trip without your doggie and fid costing £'s of police time and your neighbours thinking you are being murdered!

That is hilarious Von, a bird being a bird
A similar thing happened to us

I Have posted this story on the forum before me bird brain can't remember where

I returned home after deliveries, to find the maid from next door, standing at my front door. When Maria saw me, she was so relieved that she started laughing.

Maria was walking past our door, when

"I" screamed call the police wooo wooo wooo 2 times
Maria knocked on the door asking if I am okay
"I" replied knock on the door knock on the door knock knock (making the sound)
"I" screamed again call the police wooo wooo wooo
As Maria turned to go tell the caretaker something is wrong, I appeared.
I guess Mishka wanted to talk to someone, and heard Maria outside and took a chance.

hehehe! I think this is why Cal loves the puss and vice versa. She can talk to her hearts content and only gets purring in return which she copies!!!

It is truly astounding. That cat likes noone and nothing. She likes the rabbit because she was here first. She likes us. She does not like many visitors, weirdly, only those with London accents???? She will give lots of love to them! She doesn't like the dogs and Boots is scared of her. Olly is scared of Cal....Cal is scared of noone! LOL! Once, we looked after a very VERY small abandoned kitten for an afternoon that was found by the road. We could not keep it as Lucy was growling and hissing for Britain!!! Not tolerant of ANYTHING so such a surprise to learn she loves Cal.

Lucy is a house cat because she has suspected brain damage from when she was a kitten....the vet said it can be the only reason for some of her strange behaviours. She has been the way she is from day one.

For example, she doesn't like change, so she will not sleep in a cat bed because you
have to move it for hoovering - she will not go near it again. She has no hunting instincts. She will just look at a horrible great spider as it saunters past her. She has a short attention span. When you play with her, she bats, she only gets her claws out to attack Dave's feet at night - never once any other time :S. She does not like being held.....without sounding derogatory or insulting, she really does behave as if she has some form of autism.

Thankfully, this strangely makes her predictable! We love her all the same and are very glad we were the ones to take her home and understand she has little or no chance of surviving outside in the wide world!

You should see my face when I meet "real" cats haha!
