Some of you may remember a recent post where a member of our forum expressed her heartbreak at having to part with her parrot due to life circumstances beyond her control. She was absolutely devastated because she loves her bird more than some people love their human children. I won’t go into her reasoning, but her choice was a pure and loving one made with her parrot’s best interest in mind.
We’ve been talking for a couple of weeks now and today we spent several hours together talking about what Tsali needs, and how best to meet those needs, and allowing Tsali to decide what he thinks of me.
So it is bittersweet to welcome Tsali to our flock; bitter because of the painful choices that had to be made, and sweet because we are in love with him already. This was an adoption, not a rescue. This bird has been loved, pampered, and given the best care possible; we are honored to be Tsali’s NEXT good home.
