I have a pair of african grey who are only feeding on seeds and chickpeas. They are not eating any fresh fruits that I am giving like mangoes, apples and bananas. What is the remedy for this.
Welcome to the forums! How old are your Greys, and how long have you had them? (asking for background info!)
Greys are notoriously stubborn, so you need to develop a plan and ease them into a better diet. I'd recommend removing the seeds when fresh food is provided. The intent is to encourage the eating of better foods, never to starve them into submission. Parrots are flock eaters, and they consider you part of the "flock." When you feed them, make a plate or bowl of identical foods for you. Eat in front of them, making noises suggesting the food is excellent.
Another tactic is to switch from seeds to mostly pellets. Many nutritious pellets are available, and parrots frequently prefer them to seed. Still, fresh vegetables and fruits are preferred.
