HERE are some pictures!!!!

He has A LOT of red, as you can see in some of the pictures. The breeder did say that this pair has made similar babies in the past and that they have lost their red by the age of three. Let's see if that's the case with Andy!

He is so trusting and calm. He much prefers to be outside of the cage.

I was expecting him to be weary, uncomfortable and/or scared. He is as super calm, content and will happily step up to me. LOOOOVES getting scratches!!

Thanks everyone.

He is so brave and not scared at all.

He can already fly to me on command (learned at the breeders). He is also already harness trained. He is not clicker or target trained yet. I will start that as soon as we are home (arriving home in a few days).

He is taking a nap on top of one of his travel cages right now.

He is so calm. I have a hard time believing he is a CAG, hah.

I'm so in love with him.

On another note : I skyped with Sammy (with Andy) and both birds were confused.

Andy was already harness trained when I got him and was used to being outside (in the breeders yard) and I have now taken him outside a few times.

All times have been very successful. He has not gotten scared or spooked a single time. He has done the beak grinding sound a few times (showing he was content). He even took a nap inside my hoodie.

The first time he was pretty quiet (only a few chirps here and there) and after that he makes the same sounds that he does at home.

Based off of this, in addition to his body language, I am sure that he doesnt feel afraid or threatened when outside in his harness and that he feels comfortable enough with me (and his surroundings) to take a nap.

Spectacular! Having a bird harness-trained by the breeder is a remarkable gift!!

I knew from the start that I wanted a harness trained bird, so I made sure to look for reputable breeders that do harness training.

Andy's breeder breeds two different species:
CAGs and Hyacinth Macaws (she has one breeding pair of Hyacinths and 2 of the Greys)

She harness trains all Hyacinth Macaw babies to my knowledge and harness trains CAGs on request (and you can bet that it was oe of the first things I requested!)
