Today I walked to my front door and saw it has cracked open a bit. I thought for sure our indoor cats were out. I was worried. I ran upstairs and was elated to learn they were asleep on their 8th nap for the day. When I came back downstairs Jasper told me "Your ok". We tell him that when we are doing something he is a little worried about changing toys, vacuuming etc...

lol they are truly incredible

Sunny the Sun Conure (sept '18, gotcha 3/'19). Mr Jefferson Budgie & Mrs Calliope Budgie (albino) (nov'18 & jan'19). Summer 2021 Baby Budgies: Riker (Green); Patchouli, Keye, & Tiny (blue greywings).
From the moment I first brought home my little budgies, it has astounded me how birds can read human emotion. It still does.

Enzo - adopted Female CAG circa 2004. A truly amazing young lady!
I had a similar thing a few weeks back. Enzo my CAG has a habit of throwing things off the kitchen units, one morning I had left a glass on the unit and of course Enzo threw it off and it smashed on the floor. I brushed up and all was good until a few minutes later I kicked a missed piece of glass and it stuck in the side of my bare foot (I know!), ouch... I was trying to pull it out and all the time Enzo was just saying, 'it alright, its alright'...… bloody bird, grrrr.
