Hello Everyone,

So I continue to suspect that Bela is barbering on occasion just to the inside of both his legs. The feather frequently look ruffled in that area and when I look closely they seem slightly thinner, and there is the occasional half shaft of feather there (where he has broken one off).

So I got the aloe/water mist baths.... any other recommendations?
He seems to be playing with his toys and happy for the most part....

There is a product called Pluck No More. It's is a kings cages product. It can be quite costly but it may help..

personally i will see i how long this lasts for because from what i can gather between legs chest areas are when they are in season, nuts nipped all her feathers nearly in them areas when she was in season, she has since stopped (like breeder said she would) she has barbed her wing an tail feathers, but that i feel was in fraustration at lack of mate, as that too has stopped, she looks all moth eaten, but she is also started to moulting, poor girl from one itch to another lol

so if your bird looks content overall, just keep a watch full eye on them

I had used the PNM awhile ago with a CAG that I had rescued. She was 21 and never had any toys. It seemed to work as long as she was getting it but when I stopped she started up again. Keeping in mind she possably has plucked herself the majority of the 21 years before she came to me.. I also think I stopped giving it to her to soon.

She is now with a friend of mind because she just loved Sue from the moment she met her. She had never really bonded with me but did almost immediately when she met Sue..
