Golden Conure + Cockatiel?

Do you think a golden conure and a cockatiel would get along very well? They both seem to be very sweet, non-aggressive species. I want to really get a golden conure (my favorite), probably sometime this year, but I'm not quite ready to buy one immediately. In the mean time, I really miss having a cockatiel and I'd like having another one. Also I'm still considering getting a sun conure. How well do sun conures and cockatiels get along?

Interestingly I had this situation. I have a male Cockatiel who lost his mate over a year ago. He was a breeding machine, but I did not want any more Cockatiel babies (my area already has too many, and they are more difficult to find homes for).

Anyhow, my Suns had a chick who I kept in a separate cage next to Opy the Cockatiel. We'd leave both cages open & Opy would go into the cage with him. He'd follow my Sun around like a lost puppy. My Sun tolerated him, but never bonded.

The problem was that when I took my Sun out, he'd become protective of me and would threaten Opy, but the Cockatiel never took a hint. No harm was ever done, but it was definitely a one-sided relationship.

This isn't to say it isn't possible that yours may bond, but there is a chance they won't or may get jealous like mine.
