RIP Pi - Sun Conure 02/06/11 - 09/10/11
Now that I know I want a sun conure, I can't get enough of looking at photos and watching videos of these little gems! Anyone else have that "problem" with their conure of choice?

Also, who knew there could be so many variations! The turquoise ones are stunning, in my opinion.

Not me, I originally had my heart set on getting an eclectus! And I had looked everywhere for the right one. But while at a wonderful breeder’s house (Looking at an adult male ekkie actually) I saw a little baby jenday with no feathers in the little heated box they used to keep them warm and instantly fell in love. It was a match made in heaven, and his breeders were wonderful, then even taught me how to hand rear (which ended up being very useful when I had to take him home early!)

And I wouldn’t trade Alex for the world. Some things are just meant to be I guess!

The more I think about bringing Lucy home the more excited I get so I think conures have a mind controlling device... haha

Hahaha!! I have the same problem, but I'm even worse...we just got our first Conure, a Yellow Sided Green Cheek...oh, he's such a DEAR!

Anyway, since we purchased him 6 days ago, I discovered this forum, where I get to indulge in pictures, videos and read ideas of different things to teach our guy. I even dove into you tube today for conure videos.

So I definitely have "the fever."

We passed up a couple Sun's and 2 other green cheeks before our Franklin chose US! We couldn't be more thrilled! You can see him in the post I posted called...umm...I think...Showing off Franklin.

:)

Good luck finding your special Conure. They truly are little gems in my totally "biased" opinion.;)

Take care,

Toni
