Well, it's been awhile! I missed all my fellow parronts!!

I've been working with Lu on the dang flight suit... She's a fan of it! just not.. wearing it haha. Anyone have any tricks to coax her to hold still? We've had conversations and I bribe her with chewing on my cellphone (it's a touch screen with a hard-case, so she can't destroy it) while i try to mauver her feet into the little suit... it's quite a comical event... i'm laughing hysterically half the time lol ... I'm hoping she'll be in it sometime next week as long as i work with her, she's ok with laying on her back so I've tried that too... it's so pitiful lol

I've had no luck either. Alex will play with the suit, toss it around, even sleep on it, but try to get him in it? Not happening. I gave up after he stopped pooping everywhere and learnt to 'go' in the cage, so it worked out ok in the end. No flightsuit for Alex, but no poop on my stuff either.

Try bribing her with bits of mango or something she loves when she holds still perhaps? Make it a positive experience for her. "You wear this, you get allllll the seed you want" type thing. Well, maybe not to that extreme :)

Millet did not help Bob learn to like his harness. I got him into it once after it was properly sized and took him outside. He immeadiatle started attacking the harness and only pecked at the offered millet once. When I went to pick him up to come back inside to lose the hated harness he bit me hard. That is the only time he has done that.

haha lucy just shreds millet now. She's getting better about going potty BEFORE coming out of her cage. She likes playing with her suit... just not getting in it haha

Oscar and Sky both wear theirs. Though they are not fans, they have learned to deal with it. I can trick Sky into it by myself, but sometimes Oscar needs two of us to get him in it. All in all they will survive it and they learn to tolerate it (especially if they get to go somewhere when it is on). I tried and tried to carefully get their feet into the holes and pull it up around their little bodies...no luck. It stressed all of us out.

I found it easiest for me and less stressful for them when:

1. I put it around their bodies and get the velcro in place (luckily they are used my hands wrapped around their bodies because at this point you need to hold on to them since their feet are tucked in the flightsuit).

2. Help their little feet out of the holes so they can stand

3. Carefully work their wings out and make sure the sholder straps are in a comfortable place.

4. TREATS TREATS TREATS

Good luck :)

I'm having no luck either. I'm just holding the birds and rubbing the leash against his chest so he feels comfortable with it. I have few holes in my fingers now.

He never really bites hard but this thing terrifies him. So he will bite really hard.
