Shopping for a cage for my new GCC

That cage looks pretty good and is appropriately sized for a GCC. The only minor issue I have is that it only has 2 feed doors. Three is better (one for water, one for pellets, one for fresh fruit and vegetables).

I'm sure you could work around that by attaching a plastic feed bowl to the bars for fruits and veggies, or using one of the play top bowls for the produce and alternating it with the pellet bowl. Or you could feed your bird the fruits and veggies on the playtop.

I havde the Chateau XL from petco.com. River loves all the space, and its a great cage. :) they have good prices and free shipping

Bar spacing is 3/4 but thats okay for a GCC, my GCC will live in 3/4 bars.

We have a male yellow-sided Green Cheek Conure and a female Maroon-bellied Conure.

I have a question about the A&E cage. I was wondering about the bars being mostly vertical. I read in a conure book that there should be more horizontal bars for climbing, so I have been ruling out cages of this style. Is that wrong?
