My husband and I recently had to move in with my parents. Due to this move we had to put our green cheek from a large cage into one that fits in our room. Lately he has been more active at night into the early hours of the morning- playing with toys, shuffling his food and water dish against the cage doors, talking, ect. (Which isn't good for me because I am a sleep deprived new mother of a 9 week old baby that happens to be a light sleeper)
In our bird parenting class the instructor said that to get a bird to sleep better, put him in a smaller cage/carrier that's free of toys.
My husband's concerned that since he's already in a smaller environment that putting the bird into something smaller yet may make the bird resentful of us.
Any suggestions on how we can get our green cheek to sleep the whole night through?
