Chika, my green cheek conure. She is my first bird.
My little sweetie has some of her flight feathers. Today we were going to get her clipped again, but I told my dad I wanted to target train her so she could fly from across the room and I said it's really good exercise, so now she won't be clipped! At least for a little while... Right now I'm not too worried about her getting out of the house because the only times she's flown was to her cage from 5 feet away and from her play tree to the kitchen table (landed on a cereal box. it was adorable!) when I came downstairs this morning and that was twenty feet. Both times she was fighting to not fly downwards so I think she doesn't have all of the flight feathers.

Yay! How old is she? I let 2 cockatiels grow their feathers out after they were adults, and the older one never really flew very well. She was asymetrical with her wings and it got worse as she got older. Her younger boyfriend was able to learn to fly fine, but he usually just stayed next to her. She was still very happy though. :)

she is still learning to fly! nut is a very nimble flyer, but will not fly down stairs, but has started to fly up the stairs

you are basically flight training your bird, so make sure rooms are safe for her and she is supervised, try puttin secure perches up for her to land on, for some unknown reason a flat surface is not an option for nut to land on, she likes the coat hooks, chair backs etc, anything she can grab i think on landing
