So my new bird ironically named "Kitty" has begun her life in our family. Yesterday, against our will she saw our other bird and hopped down and walked right up to him! He was so started he fell over on his face and began flapping to get away (He is a loner :green:). She did not take the hint, and we had to come and get her. He was fine with her being around, but he did not want to snuggle her by any means!
She loves her new food, and she has figured out her cage. I saw her hop in her happy hut which is just the cutest thing. She has begun to sound alarm when I walk away and she cannot see me, so I wait until she is quiet to come back. She has a little noise she makes in the morning too, but it is not the same alarm as when I walk away.
She has taken to sitting on the top of my lap top facing me which is pretty funny. She licks the screen from time to time :p
I flipped her on her back really quickly this morning - she wasn't too fond of it because she doesn't trust me/know me yet, but I'm showing her I'm safe slowly. She let me pet her and scratch her neck and face without too much fuss or fear as well. I hope we can snuggle soon :D
She took a bath in her oversized bowl on her playtop yesterday which was very funny. She is a serious bather fully submerging her body and head and blowing water out everywhere! I suppose this is good because she is molting now.
I will attach the picture of her on my lap top in case you didn't see it. In the picture you can see the blemish on her beak from when she was younger. She tried to make friends with an older, grouchier bird who grabbed her beak with his beak and cracked it a little. It will grow out eventually, and she is okay, but it hasn't dampened her spirits as far as making friends! She is still a bird's bird.
She has widely ignored her toys and everything that isn't a food product (WILL I EVER HAVE A BIRD THAT LIKES TOYS!?) Overall she seems like a very nice bird like I was told, and I can't wait until she trusts me and loves me :)

Picture of cage attached as well.

I just realized you CANNOT see the blemish because I photoshopped the old picture to see what she would look like without the crack - I promise its not exciting, but it is definitely there LOL

Awww she sounds like such a joy :)! What a sweet girl, trying to befriend everyone. And I love your mixed-up zoo :D!! It's funny, my GCC loves to bathe too. I've never had a bird who bathed more than once or twice a day, but my new baby is already on her 3rd bath and it's only noon!! It must be a pineapple thing . I'll have to get my bath tub from school. I made a bathtub in Ceramics last year and it's finished, but I haven't brought it home yet. I made it so my birds could take baths in it :D! My baby can only fit her head and chest in her current water dish, but I plan on bringing her with me when I shower in the morning when she gets acclimated.

AHHHH!!!! WE JUST HAD OUR FIRST SNUGGLE!!! COOLEST THING EVER!!!! I snuggled Quack a bit, and she saw. Then I put him away and got her and she crawled up under my chin and wanted to be snuggled and pet :) I just put her to bed for the night, but I sure didn't want to ;)

Also, today she has been laughing to herself in a human laugh, saying kitty, baby, and hello!!!

AWWWWW that's so cute!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Harley (decided on a name finally) got some head scritches and snuggled under my chin in bed but she doesn't come to me as much as Kitty comes to you, at least doesn't sound like it. I'm trying to teach Harley how to say "Hi!" and "whatcha doin?" but it's only been 3 days and she's only 2 months old, so I'm not expecting anything yet . Kitty sounds like suuuuuuuuuuuch a sweetie!!!!! Awwww you must be so happy to have her :D!

Kitty has had some adventures thus far! One night I was reading in my study and I heard her glide off her cage, but I didn't run to her because Quack was caged in bed and my dog was in her crate. After about 3 minutes I could see her walking her little tail down the hallway toward me. She paused at an intersection to look both ways and then proceeded to walk into my study and pull herself up on my chair. Apparently, cuddling was not optional at that moment
She has also started talking to the wild birds much to my dismay. They caw and call by the windows and she calls back LOUDLY. I don't know how to get them to stop talking. She only calls loudly to them, but the more she talks to them the more they talk to her! GRRRRR :11:

That is SO precious! I dream of Keen coming up to me for a snuggle some day! I've had her 3 weeks tomorrow and she still won't let me touch her. I'm working on it though.
