So, just curious what ya'lls way of feeding your conure is? ie: all food given at once, at a certain time of day? "Meal times"? Fresh food in morning, pellets at night, etc? :greenyellow:

When first wake up, I give River pellets, and some kind of veggie (varies each day). I've figured out about how much pellets he will eat in a 24 hour period, and how much veggies he will eat in a relatively short period of time. He also sometimes get fruit, nutriberries, bountiful harvest, pasta, birdie bread, etc. (I change around those things each day to keep it interesting for him) These things I sometimes give first thing with the pellets/veggies, or sometimes when I get home from work.

My lovely little Black Cap Conure, Lucy (in the sky with diamonds) <3
As soon as I wake up, both birds get fresh water in the morning (now mixed with avicalm), food (pellets) if they need it, birdie bread, and a scritch on the head for bleu and a kiss for lucy.

In the afternoon, if Bleu has managed to make bacteria soup like usual I toss the water and get him fresh and clean out his treat bowl and put a few nutriberries in it... usually have to pick up the birdie bread off the floor cause he dropped it haha Lucy gets her pellets stirred and fresh water as well. They get a random fruit or veggie, whatever I pull out of the fridge or freezer lol they have a wide variety of options.

In the evening, Lucy comes out in the living room and she gets a mini salad with a side of pellets and a second dose of avicalm. Bleu gets more pellets if he's finished what he had and he gets a mix of veggies too. I'm still trying to figure out what he likes :)

My boys have pellets in a bowl at all times.
They get a couple of things in the morning....fresh fruit, veggies, pasta, sprouts, bean mixture (that I make), etc.

When I get home from work, I take out that food and just leave the pellets that are in a different dish. Then they get some treats before bed.

I also feed the pellets first thing so Cricket eats more. Then a vegie mash or some fruit. He likes his kale also. I feed a variety. Yogurt, fruits, home made vegie mashes, bountiful harvest, nutriberries (one per day) and sometimes small bits of meat like chicken.

I give my flock a veggie mix in the morning, that I steam for a very short time that consists of green beans, mixed colored bell peppers, kale, spinach, turnips, broccoli, carrots, corn, peas, squash, zucchini, and whatever other random goodness I can find in the organic veggie dept. I tend to make a months worth and freeze the rest for when I need it. I also add in eggs (with the shells cooked along), chicken or turkey here and there. Crap I add in sprouts, veggie pasta, cooked wild rice, barley and mixed beans as well!

I give them a small meal in the evening too that is usually from the dinners I cook, or if what we are eating is too rich or unhealthy, I make them a noodle meals with a mix in of goodies for them.

I give fruit in between in very small amounts.

Ofcourse, I also have pellets available to them almost all of the time. :)
