I've looked for a bag of just safflower seeds to use to give Keen and Opi as rewards/treats, but have been unsuccessful at pet stores. Any suggestions? I've read on here from a few people who give them.

I get mine from specialty pet stores that deal with parrots. They always have bins that you can fill bags with your choice of food (instead of paying $15 for 2 lbs of zupreem, you can get 2 lbs for $7 because you package it yourself!). Keep checking around and ask a local parrot place if they can assist you in getting some :) My store always takes request for special orders :)

I bought bulk safflower seeds at the farm store. My wife was very concerned that this wasn't good food for parrots. Glad to see it is ok for them.

You might just check a health food store or even a regular grocery store if it is one that has bins of seeds and nuts in bulk. They allow you to build your own granola mix. I ordered my safflower seeds of Dr. Foster and Smith online and then the next day found them at Safeway.
