Sun Conure named Halo.
Most websites say that they can't talk. This is sort of true, but I've realised recently that what I thought was two honks was actually Halo saying 'Step Up'. He's getting a little clearer, but for the most part I don't think I'll get any better then little honks that resemble words.

And Conures love to chew. I recently watched Halo chew all the way through the perch that he was standing on, then act all surprised when it dumped him on his behind. He'll also go right for anything that you're playing with that looks interesting and chewable. I've caught him trying to prise buttons off my expensive joystick a couple of times, whilst gleefully ignoring all his toys on and in his cage, so you need to keep an eye on them when they're out.

Otherwise, Halo loves to cuddle and is rediculously curious about anything you're doing. Sometimes he falls asleep in my bedsheets (and then grumbles and groans when you put him back in his cage so you don't squish him).

Finally, the contact calls break my ears. Thank goodness he only does it twice a day, when I leave for work and when I come back. I figure it's good to get it out of his system, because he's quiet for the rest of the afternoon/night. I'm safe because I have a fairly soundproof house, but try playing music or something and then seeing how loud it is from outside, because neighbors are heartless beings and will not hesitate to lodge complaints to the council because your featherbag is making too much noise.

Sun Conures all the way!

Ra can "honk" a few words, and HATES all toys but his cuddly tent.

Love the little guy but he is LOUD. When people talk about loud sun conures, they must be meaning mine because he will chirp (not scream but I can hear it through the house) constantly and SCREAM if you are in the room. The room he's in has a adjoining bathroom that I use, and my bubble baths are a lot less relaxing xD

RIP Constantine: Jenday Conure
We have a Sun at the PetsMart that I work at and she's very loud when she wants attention which is all the time. She hardly gets any from us because we get yelled at for "playing" with the animals. She's friendly to the point of wanting to play with dogs that would eat her in a bite and loves kids. She'll tumble from her perch (she's so clumsy lol) then waddle across the floor to be with them and "beg" to be picked up. She's really a cutie and I like her personality but I just don't care for Suns so she won't be finding a home with me :/ They are greta birds though and very popular.

Until or unless you know the birds will get along, you will need to protect the budgie from the conure. The conure will be capable of seriously hurting the budgie.

sun conures have a loud scream but can be taught not to scream. Mine would only make noise in the morning when he heard me getting ready and when i came home from work. Other than that he rarely piped up

Yes they'll have separate cages and wnt be allowed out of tha cage together if theres signs of any aggression but if not then i'll be happy haha i guess it depends on tha bird
