I got up this morning at 6am to get the kids up and ready for school. After I got them all taken care of and out the door my little 8 week old puppy started barking at me to get him out of the kennel. So I went and let him out, picked him up and held him for a while and talked to him. (Keep in mind I hadnt uncovered the birds at this time). After a few minutes of playing with the puppy I went and got myself a cup of coffee and came back in the front room to sit and drink it. A few minutes later I hear this light knocking on the bird cage and a few seconds after that I hear....."woof woof woof" a barking imitation coming from the cage. I lifted the blanket a little bit to see this black and green head peeking out from under it at me. LOL. So I uncovered them and they have been talking and playing since. I thought this was cute and wanted to share considering we are going on day 2 of them being in a new house.
