Hi All,

Please check out: False Vampire Bat Predation and its Effects on Petz’s Conures

False vampires are spectacular and unusual bats. Although I have yet to see one in the wild, I was shown a roosting hollow in Costa Rica (they roost singly or in small groups, unlike most bats). The floor below the tree cavity in which the beast spent the day was littered with parrot feathers and the skulls of rodents, frogs and other bats.Read article here:

Comments and questions appreciated,

Thanks, Frank

I read quite a few on your website a couple of weeks ago. I'm very interested in learning anything about wild parrots, and about wild life in general.

Thanks; I like to focus on that as well, also zoo and field experiences that I've been lucky enough to have. Search engine on blog is not all that accurate; I'll post article notices here, just a matter of getting to it - time and all. best, Frank
