Another great day with Kiwi! She has been making me laugh all day. She'll start by sitting on my shoulder and then she'll walk down my arm to my hand. Then she'll look at me and run as fast as her little feet will carry her back to my shoulder. When she was ready for her bath we went into the kitchen and instead of her normal hopping into the sink she walked down my arm to my hand and stuck her head under the faucet. Apparently she was in the mood for a shower today LOL!. I am so in love with this bird. This evening I had to go to the store and I was trying to get her off of my shoulder, my husband took her from me and I walked towards the door, but just as soon as I threw my purse over my shoulder here comes my wonderful feathered friend right on my shoulder putting her beak against my cheek wanting more love and attention. My husband and I couldnt help but laugh. Anyone that has been reading my posts since I've been here knows that when I got these birds they were terribly scared and only wanted to bite. I've completed an amazing task with Kiwi and I love her more and more every minute. Thank you to everyone who has offered words of wisdom to me and told me to hang in there it just takes time. If I've done this in 3 weeks time can you imagine the relationship we will have in a year?? I'm so freakin happy its unreal. THANKS AGAIN EVERYONE!

Your posts about you and Kiwi make me very happy. Just be very careful she doesn't go out the door with you, as I think she would if she got the chance.

I know she would Roxy! She was on my shoulder in a flash and ready to go bye bye with me. I'm seriously considering having her flight wings clipped but she's so beautiful when she flies that it hurts me to think of her being grounded. I guess its just a battle i'm having with myself right now. I am so smitten with this bird and everything that she does. I just love her. So far my favorite thing she has done is when I turned on the tap for her bath and rather than get in the sink she stuck her head under the faucet. That was the most adorable thing I've seen.

Don't clip her if you don't want to. I would put her back in the cage though when you leave so when you go out, or come back in she doesn't fly out the door.
