I was going to try to get a mate for my female conure. I read something somewhere that you should do it when they are really young.

Mine is 11 months.

Any thoughts on this?

Hi Scotty, I am guessing your wanting to breed? I usually like to pair them up as soon as they are weaned. They will bond better & will go to nest between 2 & 3 years old. I have had them go to nest at 18 months & successfully raise their young.
