Sun Conure bathing every day.

Hey everyone!

Sun drop is doing awesome and she absolutely loves taking showers in the morning when I get ready for work. Is it ok for birds to shower almost everyday? I figured her species is from the rain forest so I didn't think it would hurt.

Rowdy bathes almost every day and sometimes more than once. I will change her water and then she will take another. Conures are just water babies. I doubt it's harmful at all.

Yep, I agree with Roxy...our green cheek conure bathes almost every day in his water dish, Lucky for me, he waits until I give him fresh water and then dives in! If it was harmful to him, I don't think he'd naturally bathe nearly every day and sometimes twice a day.

LOL, I'm glad you posted this because you basically beat me to it! I was wondering the same thing; "is it really okay for Loki to shower almost daily?"

The other day we discovered that if we (Hubs and I) both shower and one of us doesn't take Loki in, he gets ANGRY! On Sunday he realized we both showered without him, and promptly started bathing in his water dish and "cursing" at us as he did it. So we were kind of like "I guess he likes to bath/shower daily". Hubs now takes him into the shower with him in the mornings because Loki prefers to shower with his Daddy. I guess he does it better than I do *shrugs*

Now, if only Greys wanted to take daily baths or showers...

Of course it is my dusty bird that only wants to bathe once every 3 weeks.

My sun baths almost everyday but he favorete thing is the kitchen sink lol, I scrub it out and he plays for like an hour

JJ hates baths I'm lucky if once a week she gets in her water dish and bathes.

Ugh, my Kayak bathes just about every day and almost every time I change her water. Carlisle will bathe a couple times a week. Franklin bathes when he wants your attention lol
