ruffled feathers ! any one ever experience this?

I think in Cookie's case she did it because she was ill. Ruffled feathers can be a sign of illness.
They can also be a sign of anger/over excitement or relaxation. You have to judge by the other body language.
I knew Cookie was ill because of the ruffled feathers, closed eyes and inability to stand (weakness).

doctor said that wat he had or the problem was
he just took to the back and gave him an injection and gave me meds for him
....antibiotics!

Did the vet know why he had it, Jaynava? Could it be from getting formula in his air sacs (lungs)? Was he sick when you got him do you think?

no he didnt say how oe why he got it
he just told me his seem alot of birds come in like this (fluffed up ) and its cuz of respiratory problems
do u think its cuz maybe formula in his lungs?????
he was not sick wen i got him i had him for maybe 3 weeks and was all fine till i got home friday and found him ill on the bottom of the cage
so i took him to vet and got better,,,,today i found him a bit sick but gave him some med and got a bit better. doctor said to check back in, a week from visit ....also his droppings are white and watery diarreah it looks like

The diarrhea might be because of the anti-biotic. That happens. If it gets bad though, call the vet back tomorrow and ask about it.
If the vet didn't say what he/she thought it was, it is hard to say. Seems like some kind of infection since he is getting better with the meds. It could be respiratory, as many of them are.
How he got it is hard to say. We had a mild winter and a lot of this stuff is in the air right now. Do you have well water? If so you may need to have your well tested. Wells can put bacteria into the air, too.
All we can do is try to prevent bacterial infections by using good water (bottled is better for birds), not giving peanuts in shells, washing hands before touching our birds and their food, and keeping cages clean. Not much we can do if it is in the air though.

Keep him warm so that he can use all his energy to fight the infection, rather than to keep up his body temperature.

thats alot of good info thanks i do feed him wit tap uhm i do micro wave the water is it the same as boiling it ??? i will stop using the tap and use the water we drink and boil/microwave?
i do not feed him nuts yet just fruit

Yes, our tap water has chlorine in it. Bottled water is better. And if you boil that and then put it in the refrigerator you can't get safer than that with water. I have not done that, just used it out of the bottle, but have read that to be safest, it should be boiled first.
Of course wash your hands and the fruit first before you give it to him.
