Other than my heart attack over the formula recall this afternoon, things are going great. My VERY spoiled rotten baby is fantabulous. She luvs everybody, and I swear you can do anything to this bird and she just doesn't care. She spends most of the day out of her cage either on me, on my son, daughter, or husband, watching from the window ledge, on her play gym, or her portable perch. I do make sure she goes in her cage sometimes so she can eat and drink. She is just wonderful. We luv her so much. My bird breeder that I will be working for soon, gave us a male, green linnie as an Easter gift for our kids last week. Someone had originally put a hundred dollar deposit down on the 2 males, and had to back out. She resold one of them, and instead of reselling the other she gave it to me. She just asked that I help her pay for the dna sexing fee of $20. My kids named him Yoshi. He's a pretty funny little bug. Not as tame as the rest, but I have no problems holding him or having him sit on my shoulder. He just doesn't like you to take him out of the cage. He has not bit anyone, and seems to like to be petted some, but you can tell he's still pretty scared. Will post some new pics of him, Midori, and Rosa (the rosy bourke we got for my grandmother.)

Wonderful pics! What a beautiful family you have. Your son must be incredibly patient for his age to be handling a green cheek conure!

Thx! Yes my son is VERY patient. He always has been, but I taught him very young how to handle all of our animals. Not only is he patient, he is extremely gentle. He also knows he is not allowed to open cages. He turned 4 in Feb. My other kids I have also taught to handle the animals, and they are also not allowed to open cages. Its a major house rule. Everyone follows it well though. I had not planned on another bird, but its hard to turn down a free one. Now all my kids want a rosy bourke too, lol! I told them I would think about it.
