Popping in for a minute : ) Prob will be long, but will add pics! Wow have things gotten super busy and crazy fun! I have started assisting the breeder that I got my Midori from. She has been having me hand feed some of her babies. I actually bought the first 2 normal green cheeks at a discounted price so she wouldn't be out a lot of money in case something went wrong. They are doing great! A week after I got them, I bought a 4 week old cinnamon. Then a week later I took home 2 cockatiels, another normal and a yellowsided. 3 of these I didn't pay for. I was just feeding them for her. In that time, I posted ads for her, ordered her supplies and talked to the psycho guy that hosts her website (we are currently looking for new representation as he is TOO creepy.) In that week of feeding the babies, I decided to start my own webpage on facebook. I figure I need a name. I am not a breeder or an aviary, so what do I call my self? I'm a bird NANNY! My youngest son and I were watching Mary Poppins, and it dawned on me. I am a bird nanny. LOL! I just raise them until they are ready to go out on their own. HA! SO, I decided to call my little side business, "Practically Perfect in Every Way." I know I will eventually try to obtain some breeder birds, eventually, and then that part of my business will be called Poppin's Cheekys. Anyway, so all of my babies are doing really well. I put a couple of ads up and I got a few bites, but as I am being VERY picky about who my babies go to, it took a bit for me to find the perfect couple who are going to take the cinnamon and one of the older 2 normals. The husband is a middle aged pilot who used to have birds and has wanted to get another for a very long time. He is home 4 days a week, adn his wife is home weekends so someone is always there. I got a GREAT vibe about them. I have turned down 4 or 5 people so far, and have one that will be putting a deposit down on the 15th for the other older normal. Well , after feeding these guys for a bit, I have fallen in love with the yellowsided. My breeder told me if she was female, I could buy her at a discounted price since I am the one raising her, and she is a female! YAY!!! My grandmother wants to fight me for her, since she wants her, too. Then, just Monday, my breeder gave me the option of buying a pineapple from her for a hundred dollars, to possibly breed with my yellowsided at a future date. I honestly told her dejectedly, that I am broke after paying rent and paying for the yellowsided. I called my grandmother to let her know that our little yellowsided was in fact a girl and jokingly told her about my breeder's offer. Well, she jumped on it and sent a check out that day. lol. Said if I'd let her keep the pineapple and yellowsided until Christmas, she'd give them back if I promised her a baby out of the first clutch. My oh my. What a deal. I will have them both until July and then will have them until prob end of December. Now we are just thinking of names. LOL! I think we will go with Sunshine and Moonshine probably. Anyway, I hope all is well. I will add pics to this so you can see some of the "menagerie." : )

Pretty busy, yes, but since I am home during the day and only work from 4-10 on sun's and 6-10 on mon and tues, I am home most of the time, and it keeps my day interesting and fun : ) We have play time 3 times a day. Once with my youngest son and me, then after the kids get home from school, and then after our last feeding of the night with my husband (who adores them too!) Midori is out most of the day and only goes into her cages for little cat naps, drinks and for her food bowl. Miss your highness who has been super jealous of the babies, has now decided to play mom to them. She grooms them all. its pretty cute. She has also decided that my grandmother's pineapple is her new best friend. OMG they adore each other. I may have to switch it up for my grandmother and give her the yellowsided instead of the pineapple. OOPS! I got great pics of them tonight. Will have to upload them in the a.m.
