Hi guys!
I've got two GCC both male and I was thinking about getting a sun conure in the nearish future. I just wanted to get a feel for whether or not I should be choosy about the sex of the bird or if it's all about personality. Fire away!

Edit: Oh and just had a thought, would I be better off to forever keep him in a separate cage or could he be introduced into the current cage eventually???

I would get a guy just because they don't have any egg laying issues or complications. I don't see any differences between the genders other than that.
And if your birds really bond together and show signs of actually wanting to be in the same cage then you can keep them in the same cage but you still have to be very careful because suns are substantially bigger than gcc's. You never put two birds together unless they want to be together, you cant put them together because you think it would be nice to have them in the same cage or to save space.
Good luck finding your new friend.

Yeah that makes sense, just trying to get a feel for how big a cage I should get him, just get him a decent size I think, thanks =)
Still keen to hear other people's opinions, I like all points of view!
