Conner, a yellow sided conure. And Skeet, a budgie.
In general, do the majority of conures talk? I have a yellow sided conure. I'm not sure if the different breeds are able to do different things etc. Thanks so much:) If so, at what age would they start talking?:):)

I have a green cheek conure, River. He just turned a year old. I got him when he was 8 weeks old. I can't remember exactly when he started talking, but it didn't take long for him to start. His favorite things to say are "Whatcha Doing?", "He's a good boy", and "Good Morning!" He recently started saying "Pepper" (the name of my CAG)

I have a Friend who has a Yellow Sided Conure who is just coming up for 2 Years old and she can say quite a few words.. As far as I can remember, she first said her name at roughly 9 Months of age :)

Guava, our green cheek conure is quite the talker. She says, "Guava baby," Give me kiss," "Thank you," "Good morning," and "Hey baby!"

She also does a variety of kissing noises that are just absolutely adorable! She started talking at about 6 months of age.

Pepper only started learning words and phrases when I got him. I think the worst thing he's learned to do is yell, "Ow!" while he's being really chatty. When he speaks he says, "What?" and, "What are you doing?" He'll also make a sneezing noise and say, "Bless you!" but he mostly expects me to say that to him. He thinks he's got me trained, but really I just love when he makes the fake sneezing noise because it sounds like a little sigh. So cute!

He also makes a bunch of other noises he's learned. I just realized he's been mimicking the washing machine when it has a heavy load and makes a clunking sound for a moment near the end of a cycle. Bird, why...

Wow that's interesting you all say that.

Fluffer just turned 1 in April. She doesn't do any talking but she make these noises.

Laugh
Kisses
Whistle
Double Whistle
and some cute grunting noises when shes tired

Suns yell very loud, best advice I can give on the yelling is to ignore it as much as you can. Then start making another noise. We chose whistle. Now when she wants attention she whistles. It's much nicer than the yelling.

Once in a while she yells but it's far less frequent. She's really learned that she gets a response from us when we hear the whistle.
