im after some help! ive had Tilly for nearly a week..
things are going quiet well....she will fly to my shoulder..when the mood takes her! or if i offer it while she is on her cage...she has in the last couple of days let me shower her the same way her previous owner did(under the tap!)
she flys to me,climbs down my arm and drinks and showers, its very cute!
but if i try to go towards her with my fingers shes off....now im thinking i should keep up what im doing and let her get more used to me and this house! although to be fair she is nothing like i was told....thankfully!!!
she will i found out today come over and pinch my food if she can and fly home with it!i have found a few things out about her today! and she has been taught to drink from a can....so am keeping them away from her little beak!
i dont want my fingers to get bitten too much nor do i want to frighten her...and i have plenty of patients....i have to with this lot!!!! i dont expect her to be like she was with her last owner i just want her to be happy :D

We have a Blue Crown Conure. He talks pretty good and lets my sons get his out of the cage. He bites sometimes, so they use a towel on their hand to get him out. He is a loud bird. Irratating squawk.. but we love him all the same.. I would not let any bird drink from a can.. Cans generally contain a alcohol or beverage with caffine. Both can be hazardess to all birds. It is good the conure is friendly toward you after one week. I know some can bite pretty hard. My Blue Crown Conure is more my wifes bird and boys. Mine is a Yellow Shouldered Amazon parrot. :green2:

A week is a blink of an eye to a bird. Just take it slow, and don't try to push for too much right away. Congrats on your new bird.

thats what i thought....im just chuffed she does what she does!!! concidering the things i got told she did!
he told me to have a book or stick ready for when i let her out as she dive bombs him.....well she hasnt done that! but she has lots of toys in her cage now....she only had one rope toy and a perch...so shes happy chewing them or making them slimy...whatever that is for i dont know!!!:orange:
