Just wanted to get some opinions on Abba seeds, my birds came from the same breeder who was feeding them Roudybush. When I took them to the groomer to get their nails clipped he told me that they had poor nutrition, basing this on looking at something on the back of their throat. He told me that pellets were the worst things for birds, I am so confused! I did give in and buy a bag of the no sunflower blend and mix it with their pellets 4/5 pellets and about 1/5 abba seeds. Also does anyone know what he was looking at in his throat so I can maybe do it myself?:orange::rainbow1:

Pellets are not the worst for birds, seeds are. So I don't know who you are seeing but I would consider looking for someone else.

Your not taking them to petsmart or petco are you because they have no idea what they are talking about.

I don't believe pellets are the worst , but I also do not believe they are the best....I feed a mixture of pellets , seeds and fresh foods.
Not sure what he was looking for in the throat?

It wasnt a pet store but another breeder with supposedly namy years of experience with all types of parrots. He did do a great job with their nail trimming tho but from now on I will not pay attention to his advice on nutrition!
