I wouldn't put a sun in anything bigger than 3/4, even some suns can get there heads thruogh that! So I would say yes on the cage size, but no on the bar spacing. The biggest I would go is 5/8.
It's annoying how you want to get a huge cage for your bird but you can't because of the bar spacing, it just makes me mad that they don't make macaw cages with 1/2" bar spacing.

For GCCs, I'd stick to 1/2" spacing... maybe 5/8ths, but not much wider than that. For Suns, 5/8 or 6/8 (3/4) would be the maximum width I'd find comfy.
But I'll go with the consensus: 5/8" would get my vote.
36x27x66 is otherwise mega-awesome, but if it is 9/10", the bird will doubtlessly attempt to escape... it might succeed... or, worse, it might get stuck and die due to asphyxiation or stress/anxiety over being stuck.
