A nicer look at Pepper

I got my hands on a really nice camera and took some photos of Pepper today. You can really see the different colors on him with this camera. The vet is really excited to see what his colors will be in a few years. Will he turn into a sun conure by the time he's five?!

This is his birth month! Happy birthday, Darth Maul! You're one year old already.

Nanday size for sure. He lost a little bit of weight recently because he went through a really wicked molt but I think he's getting back up to where he was before.

He has times where he'll scream, but it's only once or twice a day. In between screams he'll say, "What are you doing?" and fake sneeze then bless himself. They're really short outbursts, nothing longer than a minute. I think he's just getting energy out.

are nandays smaller than suns? i didn't realize their was a size difference. pepper looks awesome! nandays have a perfect, bright red and the color looks so cool on his head.

I think they're nearly the same size, but nandays can get a little bigger. He's got two more years to sexually mature and he's still growing and at ideal nanday weight. He also has these crazy long toes. He's a funny-looking little guy.
