The bottom tray needs new brackets which hubby said is easy to do, and I'm not sure of the bar spacing but I think they are too far apart. Just by looking anyway. She's asking 65 for it. Should I keep looking??

Scooter -- male Green Cheek Conure "Normal" but that's a matter of opinion! Hatched in March 2010

Scotty -- Male Cape Parrot hatched somewhere between 2007-2009 we think

Caballo Blanco -- male C
It may be OK, what is the cage bar separation? I'm happiest with 1/2" but people go up to 5/8" for a GCC. The main thing is that the bird can't get their head through.

Cody-Blu, female Blue-Crowned Conure, Hatched - (approx) June 1, 2014, in a South Florida tree.

Pritti (Cherry-Head Conure) -- Fly in Peace my beautiful boy. Forever I'll love you.
They are both nice looking cages. 65 is a really really good price for it if it only needs the work you mentioned, and if the bar spacing is right for your birdies. (as an aside, if you are considering painting it -- please read up on that subject to make an informed decision).

Also, consider this -- the second one has a shelf at the bottom -- if you need that space then it is important. that way you can keep toys to trade out often, food, etc. also, you can set up a little play area there if they tend to wander "off campus". I keep the toys / food in a hard plastic tub or cotainers to protect them. Pritti snuggles up them and I leave some open toys and a perch down there for him. Better than wandering into corners. I keep one of those clear plastic mats underneath the cage (like for desk chairs to roll on), with paper on top for easy clean up.

Ensure you're inspecting the cages fully - particularly around welded areas/near corners; look for any rusting. If there is any, move on and find another cage.

I have got a similar model to the bottom one, I paid £120 for it brand new and am very happy. As you can see the top opens so you have a play area up top which he likes, also I never have the main door open, I just leave the top flap open so it stays his space, he just comes and goes as he chooses.

The first one in your pictures is taller but not much 'bigger' really, I prefer the room underneath to store all the stuff, you seem to accumulate plenty of old toys and other junk...
