meet Baby

I got Baby the other day. She loves to lean into me and hide behind my ear. She will try to preen my ear, cheeks, shoulders and hair.Biggggg love bug ^_^ she is a sunday conure, (mix of jenday and sun)

she is kind of a working bird I have brain tumors which cause some anxiety(not that 5 kids 2 of which are special needs would do it ether ). The drs said to try a animal. After plenty of studying I decided on the conure and came across this lovebug.

Welcome!! She's beautiful! My Lucy does the same thing. She snuggles between my neck and shoulders and falls asleep. It's just the cutest thing.

Hi and welcome. My babies bring my stress level down too. Nothing like coming home to them a the end of a bad day. Cute lil bird.

She looks like a real love. You'll be great for each other. Pritti is sleeping in me in that position right now while I type.

Good luck with your baby!! And i think we all agree that animals are great for your health, happiness and sanity! I think my pets trained me to be on a better schedule. They like routine, i tried so hard to establish a healthy routine for them and in turn, it made me establish more healthy routines for myself. The perfect relationship.

I think I am making progress with her. I have this little play station for her ontop of my computer desks hutch. She flys off it to me across the room to snuggle into my neck ^_^ hope it is a good sign.

I just wanted to update you all on Baby. As some people know she was having trouble eating. Well now she is cracking her nuts like a pro. She will NOT eat fruits! I even tried eating them and having them hang out of my mouth. She will nibble them then not want anything to do with them. I DO keep trying though! I finaly found she likes a mist for a bath. I got her a water bottle today to mist her with and while not a HUGE fan she does let me do it. OUt of all the animals I have ever owned I have got to say...I think I am officaly hooked to the conure. I have had cats, dogs, fish and various small pets. I always hear about how loud jendays and suns are....Baby is not all that talkitive at all. She is very quiet. She does not bring much attention to herself. She loves to watch us and constantly has her head turned to the side. She is starting to take treats like yougert covered sunflower seeds. She is a little princess. I am very much enjoying my time with her. She lives in my room but is often out on her table top play place ontop of the computer desk. She still is not very playful even though I make a show of playing with her toys. She is more happy just watching what is going on around her. She is just sooooo mellow. Not at all what I was expecting after all the research. I am sure as time goes on this will change. I feel that a hole I have had for a long time has been filled.

Congratulations to Baby on mastering nuts! Given time, she may decide fruit is a good thing after all!

She's beautiful. I wish I could say my babies were calm, but nope... they're always bouncing off the walls lol
