So Kiwi doesn't like toys... at all. I already mentioned this and got some assistance, but even with those tricks I can't get her to play with them. For some reason, it seems almost as though she is scared of them... I try to play with the toys myself, putting them in my mouth, showing her how fun it would be... and when I give it to her she will sometimes go into a 10 second fit of attacking the toy as hard as she can, and I mean viciously, then she stops and runs away from it. Should I be praising this behaviour? Recently I just purchased her a destructible toy, and shoved it with cheerios so she can try to get at them but she hasn't taken any interest... Anybody have some tips? I could post a video if you like/it helps

What's her favourite food? Try using foraging toys to hide her favourite stuff in. Start by showing her yourself putting the stuff in, then start hiding it more.

It's just tough because there is an absolute lack of interest... you know what I mean? The toy that I stuffed with cheerios (which she loves) I put right beside where she always sits in her cage and she didn't even take notice :(

Pritti (Cherry-Head Conure) -- Fly in Peace my beautiful boy. Forever I'll love you.
How long are you leaving the toys in place for Kiwi? It may just take time. 2 to 3 weeks is the average time it takes Pritti to "accept" a toy (except balls which is usually right away). Hanging toys, rings, ropes, etc -- he usually will look at it and with react to it if I put it right up to him, but then will stay away from it until he gets used to it being in that same place.

So maybe it's just a matter of time and consistencey of leaving them in a certain spot for a few weeks or even a month. Also, if they are loose foot toys, you'll know if Kiwi played with them if they are moved from their usual stationary pot.
