Hi guys. I've been wanting to have a serious carpet cleaning (needs it). I was told that Zero Res Carpet Cleaners do not use detergent-based agents. Anyone have experience with this company or have any recommendations to other safe cleaning services?

Will I need to take Boomer out a couple of days? I live alone so it poses a bit of a challenge. Your advice will be greatly appreciated!

hi bb,
i don't know that carpet cleaning svc, but i always use the same local company where i live because they have a humonguous truck-mounted system that forces steamy water through the carpet at a very high rate of pressure, then sucks it right out as they go along. It's so effective on my off-white carpet that they don't spray or coat it with anything and they use only water in the machine.

There's no need for Pritti to leave house because there are no fumes or chemicals. If that type of system can be used in your apartment, I highly recommend finding truck-mounted steam, no chemicals. I like to get it done two or three times a year because the carpets are off white. In between, if there are stains, I use the diluted produce wash from my kitchen on a damp cloth. Amazing, and it's safe enough to wash your food in.

P.S. I'm behind on emails so I'm planning to write a PM to you in a day or two. I hope all is well with you and Boomer.

Hi WBAP,

Thank you, that is very helpful! That service I mentioned also supposedly uses only water. I'm not sure if it is truck-mounted but I will ask. If Pritti can stay in during the service, then I'm sure so can Boomer. If it gets too hectic i can probably even put Boomer in his carrier and keep him outside for a few hours. That's really a big relief for me.

No worries on the pm! I know you are probably busy as well :) I really appreciate your help and highly value your advice.
