We lost our sweet little buddy on October 23. I had posted a few details on here about what happened and wanted to just update everyone. For those of you who didn't see the post, he died of Conure Bleeding Syndrome. This can be caused by lack of vitamin K or can just be with them at birth (which was the case for Yoshi). We started noticing something was wrong because he started staying asleep all day. We brought him to the vet, got blood work and that same night (before the results came back) he passed away in my hands 
The vet told us that even if the results had come back sooner there wouldn't have been many options. The only way to cure this horrible disease is to give them injections of a certain medicine that would cause ulcers and retardation, which I for sure would not have done. I purchased him at PetSmart who says they have the parrots fully checked before selling them (which obviously wasn't the case because they would have detected the disease). PetSmart felt horrible about it and sent me a check to cover the vet expenses (which was $375).
