Im not sure if you can see it but its a 24"(W) x 22"(D) x 37.5"(H) cage with a seed gaurd, and 5 bowls(3 in cage, 2 on playtop)! for $163! the only problem is right now i only have $162 to pay! WHAT ARE THE ODDS?!?! the world hates me haha! but i get paid on friday and will order it then THEN! i can buy alot of toys and set up the cage then save up for a couple more weeks then make my way to the breeder!! he told me to call when im ready to go and then everything will be set up! now its just the waiting game! im so excited everythings finally starting to work out hopefully the rest goes smoothly and i can finally get my baby home i've been wanting to get a baby for almost 2 years now

I've decided i like Nico for a boy but i haven't decided anything if its a girl? any ideas?? and please no names like mango, sunshine or sunny(no offense if your bird has these names) i want something different and original! thanks

Hmm could work? how did you come up with codie?? i kinda like a name of that nature but i cant use that because i have a little cousin named cody lol one i was thinking before was meeka but it sounds too much like nico..how creative i am lol!

Just curious, did you ever look into flight cages?

Was just thinking you might be able to get some much larger cages for around the same price, give or take! That is, if you have the space for one? Unless of course you are set on a heavy duty cage with playtop, which many flight cages don't have. Benefit of a flight cage is that you could always design your own play top!



I'm sure you'll choose the best cage for your situation and your new bird! Must be so excited waiting until you can go and meet them!!!!

Yes i've looked into them but i just like the look of the heavy duty and especially the seed gaurd! and ya i have about a 2 1/2 foot space to fit the cage in! my budgies make a huge mess and its really hard to keep the thrown food off the floor all the time so i could only imagine a sun conure!! haha it would be alot more room but that also means i need alot more toys! lol!! jk i get to make my budgies there own playgym so i get the best of both worlds! haha

O and I cant wait to meet them!! i just wanna go right now but i cant without a cage haha!! ugh i thought it wasn't that bad when people would say the wait is killer but now i understand! i can barely take it!!

That link you provided shows that cage at 119 dollars Danny. Maybe they lowered the price since you last looked at it? Amazon raises and lowers prices constantly so maybe you are getting lucky!

Julie I have actually looked at that exact cage I measured it out and I didn't think it was big enough? in my opinion so I looked for something bigger then I found that one for 5 bucks more so its not too bad I'm just a dollar short but I get paid every Friday so its ok haha. I really wanted a corner cage, there's this really cool little thing in my house for like statues and stuff but there's nothing there so I thought PERFECT! But the prices on those are insane!! So I got this one

Yeah i hate shipping charges! I love items with free shipping but since the cage and the shipping totals around the same as some of those other cages and it is bigger that is a good deal!
I like Calliope for a girl. That is what i will use if i end up with another female, unless i think of something else by then! Maybe something Game of Thrones inspired for a male or female? There are tons of creative awesome names to use! *points to sig*

When i was trying to pick a girl name i was looking in different types of mythology as well. Greek, Roman and ancient Egyptian all had great choices for females! And i am sure the male choices would be great as well!

We just got our first conure a few weeks ago. I bought the cage you have linked from amazon. Unfortunately, our conure is sticking her head thru the bars. I have to now purchase a new cage.

Yes I saw your post you have a GCC though right? A sun is usually bigger then a greencheek so hopefully it'll work. I've looked it up and a lot of people said 3/4" is good for a sun..hopefully I just ordered it..

These may seem like cheesy names for a Conure to some, but that about Connie or Connor? It might be cute.
