Hello,

I've had "Crispy" for 6 days now, the breeder told me that she was 8 weeks old and provided me with food and formula. I was instructed to hand feed her twice a day a full 12 cc syringe, but my concern is that she's still hungry? When I am done feeding her she always wants more and she won't eat any of her food which is a seed / pellet mix.

I also got her some millet at the store to see if she would eat that but she wont, she screams all day and head bobs and flaps her wings like she's hungry.

I've tried giving her warm plain oatmeal and she won't eat that either, I'm just worried that she's not getting enough food.

here's a video of what she does all day: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=73PgbJoBpwU]8 week old baby sun conure head bobbing and wing flapping constantly - YouTube[/ame]

Any help will be greatly appreciated! :rainbow1:

It's normal baby behavior for them to do that.

That said.... do you have a gram scale to keep track of her weight to make sure she's not losing any? You can buy gram scales for $20-$150 (depending on where you buy and if you get a normal kitchen/postal scale or a bird scale).

Does she have anything to snuggle against to get comfort from?

Cute baby there. He/she is hungry so I would just feed them till they are full. The pouch doesnt look fool either so he is deffinitely not full. I would just feed them the formula till the pouch is full but no too full till the pouch is tight. At 8 weeks old they should be trying to wean off of the formula so keep pellets, fruits and veggies available at all times so they can get used to eating them.

She very cute... My Green Cheeks always flapped their wings like that, when they were young...

I think you should feed her 3 times per day, as I suspect she might be younger than 8 weeks... After her feed give her some soft food in her cage, such a pellets, soaked in water or orange juice and sprouted seeds... Feed the formula at approximate 10% of her body weight...

Congratulations on your little girl..
