Well, i have Walter whom i'm not sure is male or female. He had that male look about him so i called him Walter.

Walter is now i think about 10 months old. Today he keep trying to sit on my hands and rub his rear end into my hand!!

Now i'm getting a sneaky feeling !! I may be wrong. That Walter is in fact a male and is getting just a little amorous with me, he seems too young though. Is 10 months too young?

Thanks:rainbow1:

My GCC Jasmine is 10 months old and is Being an adolescent brat. She is also doing a lot of crouching down and wing flicking so ..... Bit early but not impossible!!

You can never be sure unless you get a DNA test done, or if Walter lays an egg!
Just for reference, Birdy is a DNA tested male and was displaying similar behaviour to Walter's at 10 months of age. Often he's just itchy. :)

I have heard of green cheek conures reproducing as early as 5 and 6 months in age, so it doesn't surprise me if a 10 month old is displaying hormonal behaviors.... even if it's just teenage hormones.

My friend had a quaker parrot that was female and loved to mate on my friends foot. So you can never be to sure of the birds sex.
