It's a girl!

My beautiful Sun Conure is really a girl, not a boy like we've been raising... her. (that's going to take some getting used to) I had the vet do the DNA sex test when I had my babies at the office 2 weeks ago today. The vet called me today and let me know that I have two beautiful girls. Kayak was DNA sexed female before we got her. Carlisle was the questionable one. I'm so glad I spent the money to satisfy my curiosity. I can't stop laughing. I was so proud of Carlisle learning to say "Good boy, Carlisle!" Now I need to work on changing it to "good girl" or "good bird".

Well, I figured of all people in the world you guys would totally understand the joy of finding out which sex your bird really is. I sent out about 15 texts a little while ago announcing "It's a girl!" because all of my friends and family members were waiting to find out whether Carlisle was really a boy or girl. I have been a huge pain in the butt the last week or so waiting for the results to come in. I will be keeping the name Carlisle because she already knows it and says it all the time. Plus, I like the name. (no, I do no like Twilight. I HATE Twilight She came with the name)

lol, I decided against calling her Carly for short. Every Carly (no offense to anybody on here if their name is Carly) I've ever met has turned out to be a terrible person. I was going to call her Carla if she ended up being a girl. I don't know what I'll do. I call Kayak "Yak Yak" so I'm sure I'll find something stupid to call Carlisle for short instead of pretty boy

I was the same way! I was so afraid to find out what Carlisle really was. It tortured me waiting to find out. I couldn't care less when waiting to find out test results from stuff for me like blood work, but holy crap! Waiting for Carlisle's results was so hard. If you ever get the opportunity I'd say to go for it!

Yeah....i may find out one day. I agree on the name thing...we end up calling them little nicknames anyway. Token is called Tokie half the time.
