Weve had our SUn now for a week today.I want to get him into the bigger cage. The quarantine is busted as my greenie flew in onto his cage without my knowledge and they introduced themselves.Thankfully no one got aggressive since I wasnt there to intervene.

Should I continue the quarantine or just go ahead and move him into his permanent cage.Is it too soon for so much change, he is still very skittish.
But it may be because his cage is so small he feels trapped.

Like you said, quarantine is busted.....if your sun brought any unwanted baggage with him/her, both birds will have to see the vet.....

I would go ahead & move him/her to the new cage.....Elvis has left the building ! ! !

It's possible that you could still quarantine because not everything gets passed to another bird immediately... it could take repeated exposures, or getting into the infected birds droppings or on the birds perches before a transmission occurs.

I can wait but its hard, I need to order another couple of toys and perches anyway.. The Sun seems very healthy, poops look good, eats and drinks, no fluffing up. And can be loud so his voice is working quite well.
My Greenie is jealous and has been exceptionally clingy..I do hope that eventually these two can be out together and get along. My greenie ignores the tiels completely like they dont exist. If one gets too close she will open beak at them but nothing overly aggressive.
